From 2020 we decided to add another level to the concept of ‘reuse’ that’s always been at the heart of our ethos when selling pre-loved items: why not making our own designs, from our customers’ measurements with other brands’ leftovers?!

WHY MADE-BY?
Dealing with vintage is an incredible source of inspiration, technical and cultural knowledge, although it can be limiting in terms of growth: all our efforts are dedicated to one piece and one only.
We believe that independent and small businesses like ours can thrive in our current times, yet we need to adjust to the ever-changing needs of our customers, while maximising every activity we do and minimising waste of resources.
HOW IS IT GREEN?
Made-by-Tug is our way of enriching our range of products while committing to our ethos focused on reusing what’s already populating our planet.
We base our work on reclaiming fashion ‘waste’ of every form: from pre-loved garments to end-of-roll fabrics.
Anything we can do to divert textile waste from landfill, makes us happy.
WHAT IS WASTE?
Contributing to the evolution of the definition of ‘waste’ is one of our main goals.
We are on the verge of a total overturning of what we mean with that term and we can feel this powerful zeitgeist. Many industries are now considering recycling as the new mining of precious materials.
The Waste Revolution is here and we are proud to offer to our customers a wide range of options for the conscious shopper.
WHY PREORDER?
The formula of made-to-order is another answers to avoid waste, while challenging to a different kind of shopping pleasure.
We believe that love can be a waiting game. In this case, we aim for it to be of maximum 2 weeks. This is the time you can enjoy the exciting flavour of the longing for something desired.
In other words, we believe that waiting for someone to personally make something you love, will not only make us all appreciate the value behind the garment itself, but it will also help us question time.
